Feed Pelletizing has been and continues to be, a popular processing technique in feed manufacturing. In basic terms, feed pellet machines convert a finely ground blend of ingredients into dense, free-flowing agglomerates (pellets).

The benefit of feed pelletizing:

Pelletizing operations are not without cost, but the cost is more valuable in improved plant profit as well as animal performance. There are many reasons used to justify the good market and customer expectations of feed pelletizing, but it may be appropriate to list just a few:

The whole process of the feed pellet line is highly automatically controlled by the controlling center. The whole process mainly includes feed crushing, feed mixer, feed pelletizing, feed cooling screening, and feed packing.

Feed crushing process – Hammer mill

●In the feed processing process there may be a number of ingredients that require some form of processing. These feed ingredients include coarse cereal grains and corn which require particle size reduction that will improve the performance of the ingredient and increase the nutritive value. Our FSP series Hammer mill is able to produce a wide range of particle sizes, it works with any friable material and fiber and is very easy to use. It is used for grinding raw materials by large and medium livestock and aqua feed mills

Feed mixing process – Feed Mixer

●Efficient mixing is the key to good feed production. The feed will not be the balanced formulation, so it should be well mixed before the pelletizing process. Our Horizontal Feed mixer is a mechanical means of achieving this. It consists of a series of paddles or metal ribbon blades mounted on a horizontal rotor within a semi-circular trough. The blades move the material from one end of the mixer to the other, tumbling it as it goes. It can mix wet ingredients or mixtures of wet and dry materials, as well as mixing dry ingredients.

Feed Pelletizing Process – Feed Pellet mill

●Pelletizing is a key process to the production of high-quality animal feeds as it ensures that the feed formulation is in the correct quantities for all that eat them. It should be mentioned that impurities in the raw materials like metal, may damage the die and rollers of the feed pellet machine, so we equipped a demagnetizer to remove the impurities. Each bite of a pellet made by our pellet mill will have the same designed formulation ensuring all the stock is fed as intended.

Cooling and screening process

●Cooling and screening process. The Pellets from the feed pellet mill may exit at up to 88°C and 17-18% moisture. The temperature of pellets must be quickly reduced to make the moisture level 10-12% or less for proper storage and handling. Pellets must therefore be cooled and dried. Our cooler adopts the counter-flow cooling principle, the pellets is cooled fully and equally. The temperature of the pellets after cooling is not higher than room temperature +3-5 degrees.

Packing Process – Feed Pellet Packing Machine

●After the cooling process, the pellets will be bagged or stored according to your need and requirement. The packing process is effectively handled by our Semi-Auto Packing Machine. the finished feed is weighed by the computer, then pneumatically discharge into the bags. Weighed bags would then travel along a conveyor where machines are available for sewing the tops of the bags in which dry feed may be placed for storage.

●All the processes above will be controlled and monitored by our advanced computer controlling system. The control center is collected in accordance with the actual value and the current settings for contrast, which will ensure the stability of the whole feed pellet processing in order to give full play to the feed pellet plant production capacity and prevent plugging.
