●Raw material:
Wood Pellets are mainly made from any wood waste and biomass particles, such as wood sawdust, wood shavings, wood chips, wood logs, straw, rice husk, coffee husk, etc..

Wood crushing (if the raw material is not already granulated), material sieving, drying (if the raw material contains too much moisture), pelletizing, cooling, screening, and packing. The whole pelletizing process can be highly automatically controlled..

Crushing process – Wood Hammer mill

The best material diameter for supporting to produce pellet is 1-5mm. Thus if your material diameter exceeds 5mm, then you need a crushing machine to crush and grind them into small powders 1-5mm for support to produce pellets. Our SFSP series chipping and crushing machine is your best choice. It mills raw materials like tree branches, wood shavings, wood chips, wood logs, cotton stalks, corn stalks, wheat straw, etc, with sizes less than 50mm (diameter). After milled, the output size can reach a diameter of 3-5 mm, then it is pushed to the next process to get dried and pelletized.

Drying process – Rotary-Dryer

●The best moisture content for pelletizing is about 11-17%. Our rotary dryer is made up of a burning stove and a main rotary dryer which is high efficiency in drying wood and biomass material. It can realize to reduce moisture from 50% to 10%. The rotary dryer uses steam to heat air and contact material to remove a certain degree of moisture. It is very important for wood pellet plants to use a moisture detector which will determine the most suitable moisture before pelletizing.

●Pellet mill is the heart of the wood pellet production line, and has reliable running performance. It is specially designed for compacting wood, straw, and other biomass sources into pellets. Capacity ranges from 1T to 10T per hour.

Cooling process – Pellet cooling machine

●Usually after pelletizing, the temperature of wood pellets is between 60-80 degrees and the moisture content is close to 15%. For storage purposes, a cooler must be used to reduce their surface temperature and moisture content, and also help screen good and pure pellets.
However, considering the feedback from some foreign clients, the local climate is very humid, so they hope to cool the wood pellets with a moisture of 7-8%. In order to satisfy the different needs of different clients, we develop one kind of new Stabilizer Combined Cooler.

Packing process – Pellet packing machine

●After the cooling process, the wood pellets will not directly enter into the fuel process, avoiding the wood pellet being affected by dampness, the packing process is very necessary. The packing process is effectively handled by our Semi-Auto Packing Machine.
